When calling connect() on an IPv6 socket providing an IPv4 address, it blocks indefinitely.

The correct behaviour might be returning -1 and setting errno to EAFNOSUPPORT. See posix. This is what happens on a TCP socket.

i can't compile a simple java example with jdk-8 .
my jdk is
java version "1.8.0_151"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_151-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.151-b12, mixed mode)

when i compile the java sctp program ， the error is as below
SCTP not supported on this platform .

can either of your kernel extensions be safely used / adapted to high sierra?

I installed the org.sctp.nke.SCTP kernel module in my mac OS Sierra macbook successfully, but I would like to use it inside a docker container.

I tried to start my container using the --cap-add SYS_MODULE argument, and installing the libsctp-dev lksctp-tools kmod packages in the container, but when I run a modprobe SCTP, here is the error I get:

modprobe: ERROR: ../libkmod/libkmod.c:586 kmod_search_moddep() could not open moddep file '/lib/modules/4.9.13-moby/modules.dep.bin' modprobe: FATAL: Module SCTP not found in directory /lib/modules/4.9.13-moby

Any clues ?
I'll try to ask also to ask on the docker side, maybe they are more likely to help me...
