mosaichat's Issues

Is there any plans to make a batch run of these awesome HATs?

Hello,

Thank you for putting together this great github project! I really appreciate all your hard work.

I was wondering, however, give that make boards is not a cheap upfront cost for a single unit or even small volumes, where you open to the idea of either;

  1. Ordering a batch of 50 boards and setting up an online store
  2. Setting up an indeegoo or kickstart or something and crowded sourcing a large batch?

Thanks
Arron

LED TLMB1100-GS08 discontinued

Dear all,

First, thanks for this awesome work.
Today I'm trying to order a MosaicHAT board in EuroCircuits, and I found out that the LEDs TLMB1100-GS08 used in the board (D4, D5, D6, D7, D8) are no longer supplied by the manufacturer. Indeed, inside LED manufacturer's the technical sheet, it already warns to not use this model for new designs.

I'm planning to use another LED of the same form-factor: TLMP1100-GS08. By taking into account that the input voltage is 3.3 VDC, I would change the resistors (R1, R2, R3, R4, R5) from ERJ-3EKF3300V to ERJ-3EKF1200V.

Could you please confirm if there would be any issue in performing this change?
Thanks in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Josep

Question about dual antenna configuration

Hello,
this picture shows a dual antenna board design, while as far as I know, available Mosaic flavors are single antenna.
Does this mean that a dual antenna version is comming, or that a Mosaic-X5 chip could get a dual antenna firmware version (which would be great).
Regards

Questions about internal memory and internet connection

Hello, I would like to ask you some questions about the board:

  • Does it have any free internal memory where to store data? I would like to use the setRINEXLogging command to directly create the Rinex files and then download them to a server.

  • Connected via USB to e.g. a Raspberry Pi with internet available, does the board also have internet and is it able to send and receive data to a NTRIP caster?

Question: Connecting USB and COM1 to Raspberry Pi

  1. Is it possible to connect a MosaicHAT to the GPIO pins of a Raspberry Pi and to the USB ports at the same time without risking damaging of the chip? See the attached picture for more details on the wiring.

  2. Is it save to have the MosaicHAT permanently connected to a Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins even through restarts without damaging the chip or board even though the the rpi might send random signals to the chip. If yes, how does it link to this section of the hardware reference: "Do not drive a non-zero voltage into input pins (pins type โ€œIโ€ in the tables in chapter 3)
when the module is in standby, i.e. when the VDD_3V3 supply is turned off."

Background:
I cannot get a point-to-point pppd connection working from a linux computer to a MosaicHAT via its COM1 port (which should be possible through a rpi's gpio pins), but I nevertheless need to have access to the MosaicHAT's webinterface which I do not have over serial.
