README for OpenTracing support references two packages with the same name

This section of the README is confusing because it references both the package at github.com/opentracing/opentracing-go and the opentracing package in this repo by the same name, resulting in a developer potentially believing that the referenced method from the OpenTracing project package should be found in this repository.

Proposed Solution: update the documentation to clearly show both packages imported and used.

Also: update to use the non-deprecated exported function per the OpenTracing docs.
