What is Mixed Reality Toolkit - Unreal?

The Mixed Reality Toolkit for Unreal (MRTK-Unreal) is a set of components, in the form of plugins, samples and documentation, designed to help development of Mixed Reality applications using the Unreal Engine.

In this repository you can find information about the current components of this toolkit. Please follow the relevant links in this page to access the code and documentation of each individual component.

MRTK-Unreal components

	UX Tools for Unreal is a game plugin that provides the basic building blocks for developing UX in immersive applications.
	Graphics Tools for Unreal is a game plugin with code, blueprints, and example assets created to help improve the visual fidelity of Mixed Reality applications while staying within performance budgets.

Other relevant modules

All components in MRTK-Unreal depend on the following plugins:

• The HoloLens 2 engine plugin (shipped with Unreal Engine) provides access to HoloLens 2 APIs and features.
• The Windows Mixed Reality engine plugin (shipped with Unreal Engine) provides access to Windows Mixed Reality APIs and features, or the Microsoft OpenXR plugin (shipped on the Unreal Marketplace) which provides some additional functionality specific to Microsoft's Mixed Reality platforms.
