Display Additional Weeks on Monthly Calendar

Adding request for Anthony P.

On portrait displays with the monthly calendar selected, there's often extra room to display additional weeks. Users should be allowed to optionally select 1, 2, 3 or 4 additional weeks to display.

Scaling for smaller screens

It's great that DAKboard can be customized to be used in any browser - this makes it applicable to nearly every screen in my home. However, on a 7" Nexus, it's way too small. I'd love to be able to use it in my current Magic Mirror.

Allow Old Events to Remain on the Calendar

DAKboard currently does not show events that happened on previous days of the current week. I would like to see the old events remain on the calendar.

I understand that some may like how it is now, so this should probably be an option that can be turned off/on.

Change Associated Wunderlist Account

Maybe I'm just missing it, but I don't see a way to change to a different Wunderlist account. I tried to 'revoke' the current account and add a new one, but it only reactivates the old account... it does not give an option to change to a different account.

Request ability to switch calendar month back and forth

Request the ability to switch the calendar Months back and forth via a soft key I.e. A and D keys.... would enable raspberry pi gpio momentary switches to adjust the calendar to see what is happening if it's the last week of the Month

Gmail calendar repeated events double's

Thanks for a fantastic project
I have been playing a little with it and have found an issue that bothers me a bit.
When using Gmail calendar some repeated events appear twice the same day I think it is specially if you make a change to the event. I'm not always able to recreate it. The only way to clear this is to go into the event take the repeat off, and then activate it again.

And another thing would be nice to have and that is another format on the date (DDMMYYYY)

To-Do List

Wunderlist is showing completed items. Had to delete them to hide them. Have option to hide completed items or mark them as completed.

Calendar layout - full screen or "select size & position" options

Hi

would it be possible to add some options to the calendar layout.. I was asked to find a digital solution for our meeting rooms to show if they were booked etc. and adding a office365 calendar is easy in dakboard but the layout is a bit...well... I'd like to be able to do something about the layout so it could take up most of the screen... see screenshot.. this is a portrait layout.. the landscape layout is even worse..huddled in one corner..

Would be great to have a mobile app that you could write sticky notes and post them on the DAKBoard. They should appear like actual post-it notes. Capture on the mobile app would be by finger or pen such that you can be more personal rather than text. An example would be Note Board app on android

Suggestion: Option To Copy/Duplicate Account

I'm using the DAKBoard app on my Android phone (looks great!), plus DAKBoard via a browser on a Pi Zero running a horizontal display. The orientation options for one look bad on another. As a result, I'll be spinning up another account or two in order to accommodate the display types and directions I'm using.

The suggestion for enhancement is include an option for duplicating account settings between accounts to save time in setting up the RSS feed, weather information, pictures, etc.. To be honest, this isn't a BIG hassle to do (copy/paste) just looking to simplify coordination between the account settings.

push dakboard refresh from dashboard

When I make a change I would like to be able to push a refresh to the dakboard itself instead of having to reboot the RPI.

Reoccurring Google Calendar Events showing on incorrect day

I have a reoccurring event for the last working day of the month on Google calendar, but on dakboard its showing as much as 4 days earlier than expected. (27th Jan instead of 31st).

The event has been established for a few years and works with other platforms, but this is the first time i've seen it show on the wrong date.

"All Day" events from my Zimbra calendar appear 1 day early

Hi, Thanks for Dakboard!

I have a minor, but annoying issue to report. :)

The subject pretty much says it all. All other events show up on the correct day and time, but for some reason, every "all day" event (like my birthday calendar) show up at 17:00->17:00 on the day before they are listed in the Zimbra calendar.

Perhaps this is due to the way Zimbra formats the date or time of all day events?

Here is an example all day even from my Zimbra calendar taken from an exported .ics of the calendar. This event is supposed to show up today, Jan 12th, but it showed up yesterday on the 11th:

Add Empty iFrames

I am using a 29" Ultrawide 21:9 monitor in portrait view, so I have a ton of empty space. There are a few things I would like to add as an overlay. It would be very easy for me to add personal things to the site if there was a dedicated iFrame where a user could add their own code (ex. HTML)

Here is an example of what I am referring to. It was just simple HTLM with frames for each subject, calendar, security cameras, java image slideshow. I took it down one day and lost my code and never got around to finishing it. Found your site and LOVE the concept. Personalization is everything for end users.

RSS Feed as scrolling ticker

Instead of the current layout, you should consider the option of having the news as a ticker at the bottom of the screen showing an Image, Title and text.

Add less time in change photo

Its too much 15s for a image, is possible to change to less ? 10s and 5s ?

To-Do List Sorting

Noticed that the order of the list does not match the one shown in Wunderlist. Would be great to have it controlled or select an order. Eg. Starred first, then order by date, then the ones not starred and without a due date.

title pretty much covers it..

when I change the date format from February 4 to 4 february... nothing happens... no amount of refresh, reload or anything else ... tried on W10 & ipad.

Additional To-Do Providers: Todoist

I'm wondering if additional To-Do list integration is still in the works. Looks like in an older issue you had mentioned Todoist, which would be nice. Then I could use the same to-do list provider for my board, my Amazon Echo, and the new tab page I use in Chrome. Some others which I think are pretty popular:

Post a document

Idea is that you take a picture with the mobile phone of a document and that you can post it onto DAKBoard. The view of DAKBoard could rotate between Dashboard view and the posted documents. With a touch screen feature one could just show the iconized versions and pop them up.

Override configuration settings via URL

Could you extend the "private URL" query string syntax to allow temporarily overriding some of the main configuration settings? For example:

These wouldn't affect persistent settings for the account, but would just fetch a slightly tweaked page.

I would personally use this feature to toggle between agenda and monthly views based on pressing a button on my DIY DAKboard.

Timezone problem

Hello,

I am in timezone MST (America/Denver), and I have a colleague who is in west coast (America/Los_Angeles). My Dakboard display has the correct timezone set, and so does my Zimbra collaboration server.

My colleague is allowed to add events to one of my calendars. When he adds them, he does so with his timezone (one hour behind mine), and they display correctly in my Zimbra calendar, and in my Thunderbird calendar which has read/write to my Zimbra calendars...

However, DAKboard seems to ignore that the event has a (for example) 11:00am LosAngeles time (12:00noon my timezone) and instead simply displays the event as 11:00am my time.

Please let me know if there is anything I can provide to help troubleshoot this.

Allow tapping on RSS / Weather Alerts

Allow taping on Weather Alerts and RSS stories to bring up more information. This would be great for Touch enabled Dakboards.

Hide Expired Events

Hello,

Would it be possible for calendar event to be hidden after their end time?
We use our DAKboard to display room reservations and sometimes the events get cut off of our TV display on busy days.

Within Chrome, the Account/Help/WebSite/Logout Links fail

In the new Options page, I can expand the choices that appear on the "my Account name" section of the menu on the left side of the page. However, none of the links within the expanded area appear to work. For example, clicking on DAKBoard Website does not load the web site.

I tried incognito mode, but that did not change the behavior.

Updating a recurring event creates a new event

Updates to a recurring event cause a new event to be created. The original recurring event is not updated.

AM/PM indicators being shown even when 24 hour time is chosen

Hi, I just noticed a small cosmetic issue. I have my DAKboard clock set to display 24 hour times, so there should be no AM/PM indicators, but they appear next to the start times of all events from all of my calendars. :)

Calendar layout

I am using the vertical layout on a horizontal display because I prefer the calendar agenda showing the horizontal view as it can show up to a full week. However, the layout is making the columns of each day at different sizes.

Recommend to have the columns in vertical layout equal sized even if the display is on a wide screen.

Also recommend to adjust the horizontal layout to display the calendar agenda as columns rather than rows.

Would it be possible to give the option to have multiple To-do lists in columns across the board? The title of the list would need to be displayed above each, of course. This would be very useful so that I could have separate lists for different members of the family (e.g. Dad, Mom, Kids, etc.)

To-Do List: Ability to Limit Quantity Displayed

I'd like to see an option to limit the number of currently displayed tasks for the To-Do List.

e.g. Only the top 3 tasks are displayed at a time.

Would love to have a "hosted" version that can be put on internal servers (that do not have internet) - this could be really powerful in goverened institutions (hospitals, banks etc)

RSS feed item publish date and time

I'd like to see the option for the item's publish date and time in RSS feed to be shown, so I know how old the article is.

Also the ability to alter the ticker speed.
