Contributing

Contributing to the website is as simple as running:

npm install
npm run start

Environment variables are defined in the .env files and are accessible on the repo since they are public.

Adding a conference

All conferences are stored in JSON files, sorted by topics and years. All data is open source and crowd sourced by the community. Whether added directly from the website by conference organizers or through pull requests.

Feature Request: "General" or catch-all category

Hi, I'd like to request a "general" category for tech conferences, for conferences that don't fall under a specific stack or paradigm.

There are two conferences in the Northeast US that might be nice to add but don't quite have categories here: Tech Bash 2017 (Oct 3-6) and Codeland Conf 2018 (May 4-5).

Stick to selected country when switching category

If I choose a country and click on a different language category, it resets my country selection.
I think it would be nice to persist it when we switch languages. What do you think?

I'll look into it when I have some time (just getting started with React).
