Flatland is a simple theme and accompanying color scheme for Sublime Text 2.
A little difficult to see the helpful bracket connecting lines that cascase down my code.
Works with ST3 afaict, with the interesting caveat that ST3 seemed to rename my "Flatland.tmTheme" file to "Flatland.tmtheme" (i.e. it lowercased the T). So I had to modify the color_scheme in the user prefs accordingly.
A note to this effect in the readme would probably be in order
Warning when opening Vim.
Something like:
:hi TabLine guibg=#303030
:hi TabLineFill guifg=#303030
Just colors need to be adjusted more...
I know its possible to install via git, but any plans to formally add to Sublime Package Manager? It would make it a lot more likely that people will give it a shot and install the theme. You can submit it here:

Can you add support for Lua please? Thanks.
Don't know what happened but at like 2:30 (mountain) today Flatland went haywire and now Sublime claims it can't find the theme. I wasn't working on any theme files at the time. Any ideas how to fix it or what could have happened?
I would create a pull request, but for something so simple... yeah it probably doesn't need to be part of the repository.
Maybe it's a personal preference, but I like how (in Monokai/Flatland-Monokai for example) quoted strings get a colour. Thoughts?
Please :)
Is there going to be support for Retina display? This theme is a nice derivative of Soda except that it lacks @2x images.
For some reason, I can't get the colors to display correctly in terminal Vim.
Here's a screenshot:

I've tried rebuilding the colorfile, importing a Flatland iTerm Theme, making sure that I'm using a 256color xterm, and set colors to 256 in my vimrc.
Still no dice :/
I would love this as an Xcode theme. Anyone start porting this?
Where to change highlight_line color?
So I can see how pretty it is. ๐
Would love to have tabs that expand to file name width like the Phoenix theme. But otherwise this is great stuff!!
Monokai has a warm, brownish highlight color by default which matches the original warm gray background.
However, he Flatland Monokai version has a cold/bluish gray background which makes the highlight_line look out of place with all the blue from the menus.
This proposal if for the modification of the highlight_line color to the same as the flatland scheme which has a wonderful combination of background + highlight_line.
Thanks for this theme it was my new favorite theme surplanting Soda, but I wanted to make a few changes.

Wondering if your interested in restructuring the directory structure as per the comment at #8 (comment) and including it as a theme option?
I mean white
Package control support we be greatly appreciated.

When "show_tab_close_buttons" is set to false the tabs do not display as they should (text centered but positioned near the bottom of the tab). Removing this setting from my user settings file fixed the problem, but it seems like a relatively simple problem to solve for users that really don't want to see those icons.
Noticed this on Linux, may be present on other systems too.
It seems a little weird that strings and vars don't have any color (white does not count). Is it indented behavior?
The native theme shrinks the width of each tab (if necessary) so they all fit. Is it possible for Flatland to do the same thing?
I tried to modify margins. Didn't help.
Setting smaller font helps, but it's not what I want.
Letters like p, q and g get clipped in the file names on tabs. In particular the letters g and q are indistinguishable.
Using ST2 on Windows 7
I am using retina mbp, noticed kinds of lag when using CMD+P quick panel, theme soda did has same issues before but fixed. It's not so bad on flatland compare to the issue on soda before, but if compared to original theme, the lag is pretty obvious.
Not sure if anyone else has the same feeling?
I just installed the ST3 beta, Package control, and the Flatland theme. I was going to go in and tweak one of the colours, but can't figure out where to do this.
My directory structure under ~/LibraryApplication Support/Sublime Text 3/ is:
Do I need to install Flatland via Git if I want to tweak stuff, or create a new colour scheme?
ST3 use a new icon for a drop down menu in search bar for show previous search.
in the default theme these icons are defined with:
{
"class": "dropdown_button_control",
"content_margin": [8, 8],
"layer0.texture": "Theme - Default/down_arrow_inv.png",
"layer0.opacity": 1.0,
"layer0.inner_margin": [4, 4],
"layer1.texture": "Theme - Default/down_arrow_inv_over.png",
"layer1.opacity": 0.0,
"layer1.inner_margin": [4, 4],
},
{
"class": "dropdown_button_control",
"attributes": ["hover"],
"layer1.opacity": 1.0
},
First off I'm loving this them overall and I especially love the ST2 icon that comes with this theme!
I have noticed however that the color scheme doesn't seem to be working correctly for Python. For example docstrings are white when they should probably be the same color as comment.
Let me know if I can help in anyway. I've never made or worked with color schemes so I might need a few pointers.
I used http://www.bram.us/2013/02/08/sublime-text-markdown-syntax-highlighting/ fairly successfully, though the theme might need some extra works.
Adding this would be awesome.
Installing Flatland using Package control produces this error:
Error loading colour scheme Packages/flatland/Theme - Flatland/Widget - Flatland.stTheme: Error parsing plist xml: Failed to open file in file "Packages/flatland/Theme - Flatland/Widget - Flatland.stTheme"
This is due to Flatland having been written assuming it would be installed in a package directory named flatland
. Package Control installs it in a directory named "Theme - Flatland"
.
When i want switch project (ctrl+alt+p) below list project see color :
I have these preferences:
"highlight_modified_tabs": true,
"show_tab_close_buttons": false
This is how it's supposed to look, with the default theme:
(The modified tabs have orange titles, and none of the tabs have close buttons.)
But with Flatland enabled, it looks like this:
...i.e. close buttons are displayed (and clickable) on modified tabs. And modified tabs don't have orange titles.
I love Flatland by the way, thanks for making it.
When I change a file the x icon on the tab label change correctly with the dirty icon. But if I switch to another tab and then come back to the previous the dirty icon is replaced by the standard x icon.
