Consider removing the generated comments from package.xml and CMakeLists.txt, and releasing a 1.0 version of this.

Is it possible to make kinetic version?

Clarify License

• Add BSD 3-clause as LICENSE.txt (and install it with the package, per the terms of the license).
• Update the package.xml to refer to the license as "BSD-3-Clause"

Support GST messages

GXGST messages carry important information about the error statistics of the fix. This is important for filtering GPS fixes for localization. This should be supported as a message.

New NMEA Messages?

I currently have a desire for specific ROS messages for each of the NMEA message types (GPGGA, GPGSA, etc), with all of their fields expressed in the native datatype rather than just encapsulating the sentence string in a ROS message.

I had planned to create a new package for the task, but if the maintainers would accept a PR, I think this package would be a good place for those messages. Should I contribute those messages to this package?

Foxy Release

Can the maintainer of this package please release it for Foxy? A Rolling-targeted release would also be appreciated.

Release for ROS2 Eloquent?

The nmea_msgs package is currently available for ROS2 Crystal and Dashing, but not Eloquent. I'd like to help with that.

Noetic release

Still early days on the Noetic release, but noticed that this package hasn't been released yet with the major Noetic release today.

Is there any intention to repackage for Noetic and submit for distribution?
